Newsletter N°10

January - April 2017

EDITORIAL

“I take the opportunity of this first Newsletter edition for 2017, to express my happiness to Join UNFPA as Assistant representative and to give an idea about Tunisia’s Office main focus areas for this year.

2017, will be a promising but also challenging year for UNFPA Tunisia CO particularly to advance the new development agenda in Tunisia. UNFPA will support Tunisia in contextualizing mainly SDG3 and SDG5.

we will continue our consistent efforts in supporting evidence based advocacy work targeting Parliamentarians, key stakeholders and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to ensure universal access to SRH and maternal and neonatal health, to combat gender based violence and promote Sexual and reproductive rights and gender equality.
We will continue our work to support the improvement of vital statistics registers, to endorse the repositioning of Family Planning and exploring the investment in midwifery.
More focus will be put in 2017 on youth issues in the areas of peace building/countering violent extremism, Comprehensive Sexuality Education programs and Youth Friendly Services in Tunisia”
