EDITORIAL![]() Dr.Rym Fayala, Assistant Representative |
The last four months were marked by a variety of activities carried out by Tunisia CO with its partners, in their various fields of interventions: sexual and reproductive health, youth programs, gender equality and population dynamics. It is with unequivocal motivation, team spirit, innovation and dedication that the office staff has worked to support the government departments and civil society organizations to achieve the objectives set for this year. I will mention here the main interventions carried out during this period. In order to ensure universal access to quality and equitable sexual and reproductive health services, the identification of an essential package of maternal and neonatal health services has been completed through a participatory and inclusive process of all the actors representing the different regions of Tunisia. The maternal and neonatal health legal framework has been reviewed and recommendations for its revision have been issued. Human resources policies for maternal health were also examined. UNFPA CO, together with the Ministry of Public Health, has put in place a preparedness plan to address the needs of sexual and reproductive health in humanitarian crises. |
